Impact FC UWS has recently added two players to their 2021 inaugural roster, bringing the total to 12 players. The Club’s streaming partner announced who will be streaming the team’s home games played at Riel Recreation Park. It has been a very busy first month for the St. Albert based Soccer Club preparing to play in the United Women’s Soccer (UWS) League.
Defender Jasmine Hall and mid-fielder Elise Emmott join a squad that already boasts three former team captains (Tanya Boychuk, Brittany Kindzierski, Sheena Tracey), two previous Canada West rookies of the year (Bryana Buttar, Kelti Biggs) and the U of A Pandas all-time goal scoring leader (Heather Lund).
Hall becomes the Club’s fourth player boasting a captaincy on her resume. She is also the 7th Edmontonian signed by the team. Hall went to Kent State University and the University of Florida. Allowing players like Hall to pursue her soccer aspirations while playing in her home province is a focal point of the Impact FC.
Emmott, as did Boychuk, played in the UWS for the Calgary Foothills in 2019. Troye Flannery, the inaugural Head Coach and GM of the Impact, was the coach of that Club. Together they won the 2019 Western Conference Championship.
Canadian Footy News aka CFN Media announced the following:
“ALL 2021 Impact FC home games will be live on MyCujoo and our YouTube Channel starting this Spring. As a small business, we are looking to support the community in the St. Albert/Edmonton.”
More details about this announcement are sure to come soon. There are many large details remaining in the months remaining before the season begins.
The league has yet to officially announce a schedule, presumably a May or June start. The Club still needs to sign a few more players to round out the roster. The pandemic numbers need to continue to trend downward to allow the team to practice and play.
Hopefully fans can watch the games live and make cameos on the CFN Media feed. Seriously what grown adult can walk past a camera and not regress to being a goofy kid? Until then…
Brace for Impact FC UWS!
